Delamere Forest Wedding Photography
When I was first asked by Mike and Laura to capture their Delamere Forest Wedding, I was really excited to be shooting their special day. Their plans for their celebration sounded fantastic and when the wedding day came it did not disappoint. The weather was incredible all day and what a great time to have a camera in my hand, the lens to my eye shooting at such a beautiful event. The day started at Laura’s mum and dad’s house a short drive away for bridal preparations followed by a lovely church service – a really nice church for couples to tie the knot. Laura, the bridesmaids and of course the lovely mother of the bride Diane had their make up done by Polly and Sam, they all looked stunning and the make-up team were great.
Leaving the house to get wed at the Church, Laura and the rest of the wedding party and bridesmaids were picked up by The Love Bus Wedding Company who provided two fantastic VW Camper Vans. What a way to arrive in style, this was going to be a wedding at Delamere Forest to remember.
A Church Full of Love, Champagne and Celebrations
At the church the vicar – Kip was a real personality and it was certainly my first experience of a vicar throwing celebration chocolates at the wedding guests and he even gave Laura and Mike a glass of champagne to toast their wedding. What a great vicar, service and church to get married in but also for me to photograph.
After Laura and Mike tied the knot, it was time for me to capture them making their way out of the church as newlyweds to be showered in confetti. We then made our way to Delamere Forest.
A Woodland Wedding
In the heart of Delamere Forest, in a big field with an amazing tipi creates a perfect wedding venue. All of this provided by Woodland Weddings. As soon as the wedding guests arrived they enjoyed reception drinks, Dolly’s Delight – A delicious ice cream company and big 5’s bbq and hog roast. The sun was shining all day which created a great opportunity for me to photograph the wedding guests enjoying themselves in the middle of Delamere.
After the wedding speeches, Laura and Mike had their first dance, they were soon joined by the bridal party and guests and then Mojo Circus performed a number of different sets that got the whole wedding party up and dancing. This had been one of my favourite weddings to photograph this year, it’s so nice to be able to capture newlywed couples through my camera and create memories that will last forever.
Documentary, Relaxed and Creative Wedding Photography
My style of photography is mainly documentary style, capturing the day as it happens. What that means is almost completely unposed wedding photography throughout your wedding day. I want you to spend time with your friends and family and ignore me. I am a really laid back and relaxed wedding photographer that will capture your wonderful day as it happens, with minimal fuss and no waiting around. If you are getting married in Delamere Forest then please get in contact to discuss me being your wedding photographer.
