Quarry Bank Mill Wedding Photography
Being a wedding photographer gives me an opportunity to photograph some of the nicest wedding venues out there. Quite honestly in my opinion, Quarry Bank Mill is up there with the best. As soon as Jennie and Howard asked me to be their wedding photographer at Quarry Bank Mill, I knew it was going to be incredible – and I was right. I have a unique insight and personal attachment to Quarry Bank Mill, back in August 2015 I was lucky enough to have my own wedding celebrations at Quarry Bank. Jennie and Howard’s wedding was on bonfire night and the gorgeous autumn sunshine didn’t disappoint.
Quarry Bank Mill is a magnificent piece of industrial architecture set in Styal, Cheshire. The mill is set is wonderful grounds and was originally a cotton-spinning mill that was first built in 1784. All of this gives the opportunity for an impressive and unique wedding venue and for a photographer endless opportunities to create gorgeous photos for the bride and groom. One of my favourite things about this special wedding venue is that it is run by the National Trust, so by getting married here, you’re actually giving to charity. They have also got a great wedding team that really look after the bride, groom and the guests. I should also note the sticky toffee pudding is one of the best wedding deserts I have eaten!
Bridal Preparations
The day started with bridal preparation at Natura Hair and Beauty where Jennie, the mother of the bride and lovely bridesmaids were all able to relax and spend some time together before Jennie went on to tie the knot to her soon to be husband. Once they were ready we drove a short distance to the hotel for the stunning bride to get her dress on, pick up her flowers that were supplied by the talented wedding florist – flowers by Gemma Holmes and wait for the father of the bride to arrive.
Two Ministers, One Wedding Service
Howard was waiting at the Church, which is the brides local family church. This meant that this wedding was a bit more special than normal, so much so Jennie had two ministers to conduct the wedding service. This beautiful church was the perfect place for Jennie and Howard to get married in front of their family and friends. With an impressive balcony, it meant some interesting wedding photos of the service could be captured.
Gorgeous Autumn Sun, Colours and Photos
After the service Jennie and Howard made their way for reception drinks at Quarry Bank Mill with Horgans Wedding Cars, After a short while we went for a walk around the grounds of Quarry Bank for some wedding photographs in the autumn sun. Giving the lovely newlyweds sometime to themselves before the speeches, first dance, cutting of the cake and the brilliant party that followed. DJ David Lee was in charge of the evening and the bride, groom and guests didn’t stop dancing from the word go. It was brilliant being the wedding photographer for Jennie and Howard’s wedding at Quarry Bank Mill, I can’t wait to return next year.
Documentary, Relaxed and Creative Wedding Photography
My style of photography is mainly documentary style, capturing the day as it happens. What that means is almost completely unposed wedding photography throughout your wedding day. I want you to spend time with your friends and family and ignore me. I am a really laid back and relaxed wedding photographer that will capture your wonderful day as it happens, with minimal fuss and no waiting around. If you are getting married at Quarry Bank Mill then please get in contact to discuss me being your wedding photographer.
