A stunning venue in Cheshire for an incredible wedding

Colshaw Hall is one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph at in Cheshire. The Grade II listed hall is owned by the Irlam family and is situated in Over Peover just outside of Knutsford. With fantastic grounds that are exclusively yours on a wedding day this venue is such a sort after wedding venue. Once you tie the knot in the Ceremony Hall or if you’re lucky enough to get married in one of the two licensed garden areas, the magnificent Peel suite is where the wedding breakfast and evening reception take place.

Alix & Ryan were by their friends and family at Colshaw Hall and it was such a beautiful day to be a part of. This was one of four weddings at Colshaw Hall for me in two weeks and I am so pleased to be a regular Colshaw Hall Wedding Photographer.

I started the day with Alix and her bridesmaids then headed to see the groom who was at the Den with his groomsmen. They had both exchanged gifts with each other which often gets some great moments and today was no different.

It’s was soon time to get married in the ceremony room, Cheshire East are the registrars for Colshaw Hall and they are always fantastic! The ceremony was lovely and the bride looked fantastic. Next was confetti and then drinks reception in the walled gardens at Colshaw Hall. I left the newly weds alone for their drinks reception at Colshaw Hall, capturing natural moments throughout. Then towards the end we did the group photos and couples portraits around the grounds of Colshaw Hall which is an incredible wedding venue to photograph at. We also went back out for some sunset photos – it was such a beautiful day we couldn’t not go out again.

Wedding speeches and an incredible wedding party at Colshaw Hall

I absolutely loved today – Alix & Ryan are fantastic as are their friends and family. The speeches were top class and the wedding party with DJ Coast2Coast was absolutely amazing. I love parties like this and it is so good to have packed dance floors again.

Wow…where do I even start with writing a review for Andy. 3 days on from our wedding and I’m still getting teary thinking about how much this man made our wedding. Andy’s photos speak for themselves – they are incredible. They are real, raw, and one look at them will take you right back to every single emotion that you felt on your wedding day. Each photo speaks a thousand words, and they capture the most beautiful things about weddings – the people, the relationships, the love, and the fun.
Andy has this amazing gift of being able to be so present during your wedding, but also not there at all. Looking back, I didn’t even notice him during the ceremony, I didn’t even notice him during the wedding breakfast, and yet he was there the whole time, capturing the most beautiful moments. When I did notice Andy was when he kept me calm at times I nearly starting flapping as the ceremony approached, the little looks of ‘you’ve got this!’ and the general warmth and energy that he brought at every single stage of our wedding.
If you want look back at your wedding day and confidently be able to say ‘we really made the most of it, didn’t we’, then choose Andy. You will be away from your guests for no more than 20 minutes, and be able to spend the day doing what really matters, being surrounded by those that you love.
If you want a photographer that not only captures the best pictures but who is also a great guy, then choose Andy. He made us laugh, kept us calm, and was a huge part of us enjoying our day.
If you want to be taken back to every emotion felt during your wedding day, then choose Andy. Real moments, real people and real emotion – it doesn’t get any better than that.
Thank you for going so totally above and beyond for Ryan and I. I didn’t realise the impact that suppliers can have on your wedding until the day itself, and I am so glad that we were lucky enough to have you as our photographer. You’ll always be part of some very special memories for us.
