Mike & Sophie’s Wedding at Mottram Hall
Mike & Sophie were married at Mottram Hall, One of my most popular wedding venues to photograph at in the North West. I am also one of their recommended wedding suppliers.
The day started off with Sophie, her mum and bridesmaids in the bridal suite – The bride and bridesmaids had a great morning which included plenty of Prosecco. The incredible Hayley McGroarty was in charge of make up with Cheshire Wedding Hair ensuring the hair was perfect.
Mike was also getting ready at the hotel with his groomsman so I was able to spend some time with the groom getting ready as well. I like doing this and can at every wedding as long as locations are close by or even better in the same hotel.
An Incredible wedding at Mottram Hall
The wedding ceremony in the St Andrews Suite at Mottram Hall and was decorated by the very talented Lasting Memories by Alison. The ceremony was conducted by Your Ceremony. It was an emotional ceremony with the groom struggling to hide his emotions of the day. Something I am sure most grooms struggle with on their wedding day. After the short ceremony it was time to head to the tipi and gardens for the drinks reception.
Drinks reception at Mottram Hall’s Gardens
My approach to drinks receptions are the same at every wedding – let the newly weds enjoy their wedding reception with their wedding guests and photograph the formal groups and portraits towards the end of the drinks reception which allows the couples to actually enjoy their wedding with all of their wedding guests.
Mike & Sophie’s wedding was no different and after the ceremony they enjoyed the drinks reception in the gardens of Mottram Hall. After a while we photographed around 8-10 groups that Mike & Sophie chose ahead of the day followed by around 10-15 minutes of couples portraits. Mottram Hall has plenty of variety for wedding photos including the front drive way and the gardens at the back of the hotel.
My approach to wedding photography is something I really believe in and know the difference it makes to couples and their friends and family.
Evening party at Mottram Hall
Before the the evening party we also had a fantastic three course meal and of course the speeches. Speeches are one of my favourite parts of the wedding and today was again brilliant – funny, emotional and sincere.
It was soon time for the evening party including the first dance and cake cut. Agent Smith was in charge of the entertainment for the evening and did a fantastic job – the dance floor was brilliant and I really enjoyed being a part of it.
What Mike & Sophie said about Andy Griffiths Photography
I would recommend Andy Griffiths to anybody for your wedding photos if you want amazing, emotional, natural (but also some posed for) photos that capture every element of your day – even those moments you didn’t get to see because you were too busy enjoying your wedding day! When we received our photos we couldn’t believe the quality of the photos and all the moments Andy captured and the emotion in the pictures. We will treasure them for the rest of our lives, thank you for just being great at what you do Andy!
