The Mere is a fantastic venue with space for over 500 guests. Part of this fantastic wedding venue dates back to 1086. In 1834 the new hall was built close to the Mere by Mr Langford-Brookes. In January 1973, a fire destroyed the majority of the club house and so in 1984 was purchased by Stephen Boiler.
Since January 2018 the resort has moved into different ownership – a Gulf based company purchased it and continue to run it today.

Jemma & Jordan’s wedding at the Mere
Jemma & Jordan both got ready at the Mere in two of the suites so it was great to be able to go and see them both on the morning of the wedding. Today was a big bridal
party with seven bridesmaids and two flower girls. There was five ushers, a best man and two page boys so it was set up to be a great day. Jemma & Jordan exchanged gifts and I was there for when Jordan has his, it was an emotional time for Jordan and I love seeing this from people at weddings.
It was an emotional service with five of Jemma’s fathers friends walking her down the aisle at different parts before her mum walked her for the final part. A really nice touch from the bride and groom.
After the service everyone enjoyed drinks in the sun and it seemed like everyone was having a great time. We were really lucky with the weather as it was amazing all day!
Just before the wedding breakfast we photographed some group photos and then headed in for the wedding breakfast.
Speeches & Evening Reception
After some fantastic speeches we headed out for couples portraits. We left it until after the meal today so the bride and groom could spend more time with their friends and family during the drinks reception. Soon after we finished it was time for the evening party to kick off. With over 120 guests the day was great and the evening party was even better. Jemma also had a dance with her Gran and then her mum. You can tell how close she is to them both and it was a great way to get the dance floor going again.
