Sandhole Oak Barn
Sandhole Oak Barn is situated in Congleton and has been in the Worth family since the 1920’s. The first wedding was in 1995 and since then they have become one of the best wedding venues in the North West. In 2005 the incredibly impressive Oak Barn was added and have held hundreds of weddings since. With easy access to Cheshire, Manchester and other key locations throughout the North West it is a fantastic spot to tie the knot. Sandhole also has an incredible lake that the barn looks over. In addition whatever time of the year, you are able to get some incredible sunsets at this top wedding venue.
Simon & Zoe’s wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn
Simon and Zoe got married at Sandhole Oak Barn in March & it was an incredible wedding. As a wedding photographer, driving in the beautiful and scenic Cheshire countryside you just know it is going to be a good day. As well as the fact Top Table Catering are on hand at Sandhole Oak Barn it is fast becoming one of my favourite wedding venues in the North West.
I met with Zoe and her bridesmaids in the morning and it was such a great morning. With eight bridesmaids and plenty of prosecco as soon as I walked in I knew it was gonna be a great day. It was great to work with Vicky and Hayley again. I have worked with Hayley at a few weddings and it’s so great to work with top MUA’s like her.
Once make up was finished and everyone was looking stunning it was time for Zoe to get into her beautiful wedding dress designed by Enzoani and bought from Along Came Eve. Zoe’s dad soon arrived to walk her down the aisle, I always love this moment. A short walk over to the barn where the groom was waiting and it was time to say I do!
An emotional Wedding Ceremony at Sandhole Oak Barn
The wedding ceremony was conducted by Your Ceremony (Cheshire East wedding registrars) and it was lovely. With eight bridesmaids it was a relatively big wedding and it was such a good day.
After a short service it was time to sign the register and then on to the drinks reception, leaving through loads of confetti – It was awesome.
Drinks reception next to the lake
My approach to drinks receptions are the same at every wedding – let the newly weds enjoy their wedding reception with their wedding guests and photograph the formal groups and portraits towards the end of the drinks reception which allows the couples to actually enjoy their wedding with all of their wedding guests, especially in a wedding venue like Sand Hole Oak Barn.
My approach to wedding photography is something I really believe in and know the difference it makes to couples and their friends and family.
For Zoe and Simon’s wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn we were lucky to enough to have fantastic spring weather. At Sandhole Oak Barn you get incredible sunsets over the lake and this March wedding was no different.
Evening party at Sandhole Oak Barn
After the wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches – they were brilliant – exactly what you want in wedding speeches, humour, laughter and some lovely words. The best men created a great video for the bride and groom and it certainly went down a treat.
Soon after it was time for the cutting of the cake and then the best part of the wedding – the evening party to start! The bride and groom started with a traditional first dance, then the father daughter dance before they were joined with their friends and family on the dance floor.
It was packed and I love weddings like this – it was fantastic from start to finish with all the wedding guests having a fantastic day. I have photographed several times at Sandhole Oak Barn and I love photographing at this incredible wedding venue in Cheshire. I have several weddings booked in and I am so excited to return to capture another wedding in the near future. If you are looking for a wedding photographer for your wedding here or at any venue then please get in touch to discuss your plans.
