Sandhole Oak Barn is situated in Congleton and has been in the Worth family since the 1920’s. The first wedding was in 1995 and since then they have become one of the best wedding venues in the North West. In 2005 the incredibly impressive Oak Barn was added and have held hundreds of weddings since. With easy access to Cheshire, Manchester and other key locations throughout the North West it is a fantastic spot to tie the knot. Sandhole Oak Barn also has an incredible lake that the barn looks over – quite possibly one of the best sunset spots in Cheshire.

Sophie & Rob’s Summer Wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn

In the heart of Cheshire, Sophie and Rob celebrated their incredible summer wedding day at Sandhole Oak Barn. It was a day marked by simplicity, laughter, and the rustic charm of the countryside.

Sandhole Oak Barn is a fantastic wedding venue with a famous lake and possibly the best sunsets of all wedding venues that I have worked at. The 17th-century barn, with its exposed oak beams and historic brickwork, stood as a central point against the rural landscape. The well-maintained gardens added a natural touch to the surroundings of one of my most favourite wedding venues.

Sandhole Oak Barn is a great space for your wedding and perfect for wedding photos. Everyone had a great time and post-ceremony, guests gathered outdoors for drinks and canapés. The open-air setting allowed everyone to enjoy the casual atmosphere and the beauty of the countryside. Working alongside Top Table Wedding Caterers and Tom Harrington Films, made for a memorable celebration. It was a day that reflected their authenticity and love, surrounded by the simplicity of the countryside. I also love couples portraits at Sandhole Oak Barn – it is the perfect backdrop, with the lake, the countryside lane and the beautiful fields – mix all that with incredible sunsets and you have a winner.

Top Table Wedding Caterers provided the food for Sophie and Rob, the exclusive caterer at Sandhole Oak Barn. The menu showcased local flavors, emphasizing quality. It is always a pleasure working alongside Annette and her team. It was also a pleasure to work alongside Tom Harrington Films, His unobtrusive style documented genuine moments, providing an authentic account of the celebration. As the night unfolded, the barn transformed into a lively dance floor. A DJ set the mood for Sophie and Rob’s first dance and the dance floor was soon packed!

Andy was simply flawless from start to finish in the wedding process – he was so responsive, easy to talk to, full of help and recommendations and an absolute wizard behind the camera!
The photos of our big day were one of the most important things to us to ensure we had a beautiful reminder of such a special day and Andy knocked it out of the park! Every photo takes us back to the exact emotion we were feeling in the moment. Most of the photos we didn’t even know were being taken which meant the true essence of the moment was captured. We’re so glad we took Andy’s advice on the minimal posed group shots and spent as much time with each other and our guests. Andy has captured the memories we will treasure forever so wonderfully.
On the day, Andy blended in wonderfully and was a huge help to the smooth running. When our page boy point blank refused to be in the group shot, Andy calmly dealt with it letting little Lucas take a few photos before standing in front of the camera for our group photo.
My husband hates to be in front of the camera and was dreading the couples shots but Andy made these effortless and put us both at absolute ease and provided us with the most beautiful photos.
I would recommend Andy to anyone and we will never be able to say enough thank yous!
