Cloud 23 Wedding Photography – Steven and Jai
As a wedding photographer I get to spend my time at some of the best wedding venues the North West has to offer. In September, I was at the Hilton Manchester’s Cloud 23, photographing the marriage of Jai and Steven. This fantastic wedding venue is Manchester’s highest and ranks among one of the most scenic wedding venues that I have been lucky enough to be a wedding photographer at. The day started with me capturing the gorgeous bride Jai and her bridesmaids preparing to get ready for the big day, before a short walk from the Hilton Manchester to see the groom Steven and his ushers getting ready for the big day.
Chinese Games at the Hilton
Photographing a Chinese wedding is brilliant, so much happens all day and this wedding was no different. In keeping with Chinese tradition, the bridesmaids hid the stunning bride and set up a number of door games ready for Steven and the groomsmen to arrive. These games were very funny to photograph and somewhat embarrassing for the groom but it was all lighthearted. Steven and the groomsmen did very well and ended up being allowed to see his wife to be before they went to say “I do”
Wedding guests enjoyed a private lift to the 23rd floor to witness the marriage of Steven and Jai. With fantastic views all over Manchester it was a the ideal location for a wedding that would also have photos taken with one of the best views across Manchester.
A Walk Around Manchester
After the service at Cloud 23, we headed for a walk around Castlefield in Manchester. This is a great city centre location and a short distance from Cloud 23 for any bride and groom to have their wedding photos taken in a relaxed and creative style. Jai and Steven decided to practice their first dance on the bridge which was a wedding photographer’s dream. We then headed to Glamorous Restaurant in Manchester for a 14 course traditional Chinese banquet.
Back at Cloud 23 with Andy Murphy – Wedding DJ
Once the wedding breakfast was finished we all headed back to Cloud 23 for the first dance and evening reception. Andy Murphy was in charge of the entertainment and didn’t disappoint. We had some heartfelt speeches before the cutting of the cake and first dance. The newly weds and all the guests had a great time, the first dance was lovely and the couple were soon joined by the ushers and the bridesmaids. The dance floor was full of guests in no time.
Relaxed, Natural and Unobtrusive Wedding Photography
My style of photography is relaxed, natural and unobtrusive, capturing the day as it happens. What that means is almost completely unposed wedding photography throughout the whole day. I want you to spend time with your friends and family and ignore me. I am a really laid back and relaxed wedding photographer that will capture your wonderful day as it happens, with minimal fuss and no waiting around.
