Nant Gwrtheyrn Wedding Photography

Nant Gwrtheryn was the setting for the wedding of Alisha and Brad. Some may say having Storm Callum on your wedding day isn’t great – but you would never have known that from the way Alisha, Brad and their wedding guests enjoyed their day. It was an absolute pleasure to be their wedding photographer at Nant Gwrtheyrn. I always think that no matter what the weather as long as you embrace it – it really doesn’t matter and you will always have a great day.

Nant Gwrtheyrn or “the Nant” as it is often called, now home to the National Welsh Language and Heritage Centre, is a magical place located in a former quarrying village on the northern coast of the Llŷn Peninsula in north Wales.

This secluded Victorian village has undergone a £5m renovation in recent years which included construction of a new access road and the addition of a new weddings and conference centre as well as the provision of 5* and 4* accommodation for up to 120 guests. It really is the perfect wedding venue for those wanting something a little different. You can contact Nant Gwrtheyrn at http://nantgwrtheyrn.org/contactus/ and their address is:

LL53 6NGetting married at Nant Gwrtheyrn – Capel Seilo

Seilo was built in 1878 to serve the quarrying village of Nant Gwrtheyrn. Today, the chapel has been fully renovated and is the perfect space to host a traditional wedding ceremony. The Chapel has space to fit 100 people and more space for people to stand at the rear and it was full today of the bride and grooms friends and family.

Alisha and Brad tied the knot in the chapel which was the perfect setting. After saying their vows and listening to a fantastic harpist the guests and the newly weds made their way to the drinks reception. It was a little bit wet but that didn’t matter at all.

Couples Portraits at Nant Gwrtheyrn

As a wedding photographer, Nant Gwrtheyrn is the perfect place for wedding photos. We couldn’t make it on to the beach because storm Callum was in full force. So we headed up the road into the valley, with some lovely light and scenery it was a lovely spot for some natural and relaxed photos for the lovely couple.

Wedding Party and Nant Gwrtheyrn

After the speeches and wedding breakfast it was time for the evening party and we also had some time for sparklers. The party soon got going and everyone had fun on the dance floor. It was an amazing to photograph this wedding from the moment I started until I left it was such a great day.
