Soughton Hall Wedding Photography | Andy Griffiths
I was so happy to have been invited to be Jess and Jon’s Soughton Hall Wedding Photographer in September 2018. The day started at the bride’s parents home which was full of laughter, happiness and real emotion, the newly weds tied the knot close to their home in Liverpool before driving around an hour to the stunning Soughton Hall on the border of North Wales and Cheshire.
Soughton Hall is an exclusive use wedding venue and this stunning Georgian country house is surrounded by impressive landscaped gardens and stunning 10 acres of land. Full of character, charm and warmth, the lovingly restored Soughton Hall boasts 15 individually decorated bedrooms and a host of grand, but cosy reception rooms that make Soughton feel one of the most impressive wedding venues in the area.

Soughton Hall Portraits
Being a Soughton Hall Wedding photographer I was lucky enough to photograph the fantastic newly weds around the grounds of the stunning Soughton Hall. I always like to let the bride and groom enjoy their wedding, so towards the end of reception drinks in the impressive board room, we headed out to capture some relaxed portraits. The weather wasn’t as nice as what we would have liked but we still had enough time to capture some natural and relaxed wedding photos around the grounds. I was also able to get creative later on in the evening at the front of the hall which provided the perfect backdrop.

Evening reception at Soughton Hall
After drinks reception in the beautifully furnished and elegant drawing room, you move through to the impressive marquee. With space for around 200 guests, this Soughton Hall marquee really is perfect for you to decorate just the way you want, with impressive outside seating area and views around the stunning gardens this location really does have it all for a beautiful and elegant wedding. After some funny and also heartfelt speeches the evening party soon kicked off and everyone had great fun.

A fantastic wedding venue – Soughton Hall
Edward Conway built the Hall in 1714. His family had owned the estate for several generations and he inherited the land when his father John Conway died in 1689. Because of financial difficulties he was forced to sell the house in 1732 to Bishop John Wynne. The home of the Wynne Bankes family for over 250 years, Soughton Hall combines the atmosphere of a cherished family home with ta luxury wedding venue. Elle R Leisure is a family-owned business who now owns and runs the impressive venue.
With new management in place who has vast experience in the wedding industry, Soughton Hall really is one of the best wedding venues in the area. There is also a new chef who is at the top of their trade and produces incredibly fresh wedding food.
The architecture of Soughton Hall is truly impressive, which will truly wow any of your wedding guests and with over 10 acres of land and stunning gardens, it was a joy to be a Soughton Hall Wedding Photographer.

What the bride said about Andy Griffiths Photography at Soughton Hall
“Andy was our wedding photographer at our wedding last month. We were looking for a wedding photographer who would take natural, unobtrusive photos. What we got in Andy was a photographer who managed to capture every single special moment without us even realising he was there, the most beautiful set of wedding photos we have ever seen, and someone who is a genuinely lovely guy and makes you and your guests feel at ease. Andy knows what’s best to get the most perfect shot, and he is worth every single penny. Can’t recommend him enough, and if you are thinking about booking him, don’t hesitate. Thank you Andy!”
