I started the day with the stunning bride and bridesmaids at the family home 5 minutes away from the church. Flossy and Leigh were on hand to ensure everything was done to perfection. This was my penultimate wedding of the year having photographed over 35 weddings and it was clearly going to be a good one.
It was soon time to leave bridal preparations behind and head to the church. The vicar was great and allowed us to photograph anywhere which always makes such a difference. After some tears and laughter the great couple were married and it was time to leave for the festivities at Mitton Hall. Mitton Hall provides the perfect location for a wedding.
Christmas is a special time of year for most but this year Lauren and Jack tied the knot and then celebrated in Mitton Hall. Lauren wanted a Christmas winter wedding and Mitton Hall didn’t let her down. The Christmas tree in the lounge area is beautiful and we took a couple of minutes to make use of the room.

The wedding reception was amazing and after some emotional and funny speeches we were soon on to the evening reception. This is where the party really with an amazing brass band from Intrada Brass playing Christmas tunes. They were shortly joined by the fantastic Nelson Ladies Civic Choir which led to a sing off between the guests. On to first dance and Chris Cooper was on hand not only to DJ but as the host for the day. Saxophonist Al Grant ensured that everyone was enjoying themselves, it was difficult to leave the dance floor because there was so much happening. It is always great when the guests are up for such a laugh and just want to enjoy the wedding. Lauren and Jack congratulations on getting married and for putting on an amazing wedding. Even I got my face painted as a reindeer it was that much fun!!
