Mitton Hall is a beautiful 15th century manor house situated in the RIbble Valley. With 18 guest bedrooms this is one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph in Lancashire.
Mitton Hall is one of my favourite venues to work in Lancashire. It is today a stunning design and decoration is perfectly complementary of the ancient architectural features to create a contemporary country house hotel. Both effortlessly beautiful and unashamedly romantic.

Heather & Chris’s Church Wedding
Heather and Chris got married at Brindle St Josephs R.C.Church in Chapel fold, Houghton. It is one of the oldest Catholic parishes in England and is in a lovely setting. I started the day with Heather and her bridesmaids at her parents house but also had the opportunity to get to groom prep to see Chris and all the guys getting ready before heading to the church. At the church which is very special to the bride, the bridesmaids arrived just ahead of the bride who soon arrived with her dad. Chris was waiting inside for the bride to arrive who looked stunning. As a first for me Heather sang the opening hymn and it was beautiful. After the formal service it was all done – the new Mr & Mrs Suffolk were official and it was time for confetti and then to head to the wonderful Mitton Hall.
Drinks reception at Mitton Hall
Mitton Hall provides the perfect space for drinks reception whatever the weather and today we were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather so we were all outside on the terrace. Drinks were flowing all day as guests were treated to some lovely music by Craig Smith on piano. Towards the end of drinks we headed down to the garden for some formal group photos that took no longer that ten minutes and meant everyone got to enjoy the wedding rather than posing for photographs.
Couples portraits at Mitton Hall
Mitton Hall is such a great place for couples photos with the front of the building, the drive, the bridge and of course the garden area. We spent ten minutes on couples portraits here as we had also gone for a walk near the church. Somewhere that Heather and Chris spend alot of time so it was nice to take some photos there as well.
Evening party with Chris from DFC & Funtime Frankies at Mitton Hall
What a party that was with the Funtime Frankies and Chris from DFC entertaining the guests all night. It is safe to say that after the cutting of the cake, the father and daughter dance and of course the first dance the party really started. It was an amazing atmosphere all night and it was a great surprise for father of the bride that we had put together a slide show of photos from when Heather was a child right up until after the speeches on her wedding day. I worked fast during the wedding breakfast to edit a few and finish the slideshow! Something which I think went down very well with everyone and it was a pleasure to do for this lovely couple.
Congratulations to you both and I hope you had the best wedding and all the best for the future.
