Meols Hall Tithe Barn Wedding Photography
Meols Hall Tithe Barn in Southport, Merseyside is such a fantastic venue for a wedding. It was an absolute pleasure photographing Hannah and Mark’s wedding at Meols Hall Tithe Barn, this beautiful 400 year old barn has been meticulously restored by local craftsmen and retains all its original and authentic features. The stunning Meols Hall has stood on this site since the early reign of King John and has passed through 27 generations to the present owner. It is a truly impressive wedding venue.
An Extra Special Church Wedding
Family and friends present at Our Lady of Compassion witnessed Hannah and Mark exchange vows in an poignant ceremony. 35 years ago the lovely brides mum and dad tied the knot with the same vicar who is now an impressive 81 years old, but you would never think it. The fact he had married them all those years ago was a complete coincidence but one that made this wedding a little bit more special for the bride and groom and their family.
Wedding Reception at Meols Hall Tithe Barn
After some confetti and some mingling outside the church the bride and groom led the way to Meols Hall with Classic Wedding Cars of Lancashire taking driving them in the sun to the reception. The atmosphere at the reception was perfect for entertaining the guests. The guests enjoyed some drinks in the sun making the most of Meols Hall’s impressive courtyard. Meols Hall has acres of idyllic woodland which creates the perfect wedding venue. Before the wedding breakfast we headed off for some natural and relaxed photos and then it was time for the speeches which were all fantastic. I have to say Mark’s speech was one of the most heartfelt and fantastic speeches I have heard. It’s not often I get a little teary in speeches – but this one had everyone going.
The evening guests began to arrive and sun began to set, so as soon as golden hour started we headed out to make the most of the stunning sunset. Soon it was time for first dance and the Shine who had travelled all the way from Brighton definitely pulled it off, the wedding floor was packed while the newlyweds were showing off their best moves. You couldn’t wish for a more perfect day for Hannah and Mark and I thoroughly enjoyed telling their story.
