Liverpool has a number of beautiful wedding venues and the Royal Liver Building is one of the best. The Liver Building is a beautiful and iconic Grade 1 listed building in the heart of Liverpool, located at Pier Head. It is one of the ‘Three Graces’ along with the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building. If you are getting married in Liverpool then this iconic building may well be at the top of your list of go to wedding venues. First opened in 1911 it has fantastic architecture and with the Mersey just a stone’s throw away, it really does give the perfect wedding venue.

Leanne & Adam’s wedding at the Royal Liver Building – Sneak Peek
The day started a bit later for me than normal, I headed straight to the Royal Liver Building to meet the groom and to capture some relaxed photos of guests arriving. The beautiful bride Leanne arrived shortly after where I met her just outside.
After a lovely service all the guests headed outside to throw confetti and enjoy the spring sunshine on this amazing April day. The bride and groom couldn’t have asked for better weather.
After having a quick catch up with guests it was time for the guests to head back upstairs and we spent ten minutes doing some couples portraits around Pier Head.
Couples portraits at Pier Head, Liverpool
After confetti and before the food we headed out to Pier Head for some relaxed photos of just the bride and groom. It is such a great location for photos and especially when you get awesome weather! You can tell how happy the bride and groom are together. It was great to be part of their wedding. The Liver building also provides such a beautiful backdrop for photos, I love photographing weddings in Liverpool and especially at this iconic building.
First dance and the party at the Liver Buildings, Liverpool
After some relaxed drinks and food it was time for speeches. This is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding and today was no different. Getting the reactions to speeches is always brilliant!
It was soon time for the evening guests to arrive and that could only mean one thing – first dance and cake cutting. It was a great party for the new Mr and Mrs Helliwell and I am delighted to have been their Liver Building Wedding Photographer!
