Colshaw Hall Winter Wedding

Colshaw Hall is one of my go-to venues for 2025 and 2026, and it’s easy to see why. This venue is solid no matter the season, and it was a great choice for Maria and Pete’s winter wedding. The venue combines elegance with a relaxed vibe, making it perfect for a fun celebration. Whether you’re getting married in the summer or winter, Colshaw Hall has a way of making everything feel stylish yet comfortable, so it was no surprise that Maria and Pete’s day was an absolute success. The venue offers fantastic indoor spaces that look amazing for wedding photos, plus the surrounding grounds are perfect for outdoor shots, no matter the weather.

For this winter wedding, the scene was set with the snow-covered grounds and the venue’s impressive architecture, making it feel like we were in a storybook. The way the winter light hit the building, combined with the frosty landscape, made for such a dreamy atmosphere—Colshaw Hall really shines in the colder months.

After the ceremony, we stepped outside for a few photos. The snow on the ground made everything look picturesque, and it added a bit of extra magic to the day. We kept the photos relaxed and fun, with the focus on Maria and Pete’s connection rather than the weather. Colshaw Hall always provides a great backdrop for photos, and it didn’t disappoint.

Winter is such a great time to get married because it’s all about embracing the season and making the most of the surroundings. We took advantage of the beautiful snow-covered grounds, but without overcomplicating things. Maria and Pete were happy to step outside for a few chilled-out shots, which made all the difference. Keeping things simple and not over-posed is always the key to capturing those genuine moments.

For me, the best wedding photos come when couples are willing to embrace whatever the weather brings—whether that’s rain, snow, or sunshine. The result is always real, relaxed, and memorable photos that tell the story of the day. And with the snow on the ground at Colshaw Hall, it made for some incredible images. The contrast between the white snow and the dark trees gave the photos a kind of drama that you just don’t get in the warmer months.

Maria and Pete were up for whatever, even if it meant stepping outside for a few fun shots. That’s what makes wedding photos stand out—when the couple is relaxed and ready to enjoy the moment. It was a perfect example of how to make the most of the weather and how to let the venue’s natural beauty shine through.

Once we were back inside, the reception kicked off. Barretts took care of the food, and it was spot on. Delicious and satisfying, giving everyone the energy to enjoy the rest of the night. A great wedding reception isn’t just about the food; it’s about the whole vibe, and the relaxed, joyful atmosphere at Maria and Pete’s reception made everything feel fun and effortless. Everyone was in great spirits, and the food played a big part in that—there’s nothing like a good meal to keep the energy high.

As the evening went on, there were plenty of laughs, good vibes, and, of course, some epic speeches before the evening party started. It’s always a highlight of the day for me to see the reactions to the speeches, and this one didn’t disappoint. From funny stories to heartfelt moments, they set the tone for the evening. Once the speeches wrapped up, the real fun began. The party kicked off, and guests were up dancing and enjoying themselves until late into the night.

Everyone had a great day and I loved being a part of this fantastic Colshaw Hall Winter Wedding. It’s always an honour to be part of such a big occasion, and being able to capture these moments for Maria and Pete was a true pleasure.

Maria and Pete’s Colshaw Hall Winter Wedding was the perfect way to kick off my 2025 season. The snow, the great food, and a laid-back couple made for a fantastic day. Winter weddings are awesome, and this one was no different. The whole day had a chilled-out vibe, but still with all the elegance and beauty that made it such a special event. For couples thinking about a winter wedding, it’s worth considering Colshaw Hall—whether there’s snow on the ground or not, the venue has so much to offer. From amazing photo opportunities to fantastic food and a relaxed yet stunning atmosphere, it’s the kind of place that delivers no matter what the season is.
