Colshaw Hall Wedding
Weddings at Colshaw Hall are always a pleasure to photograph, and Lucie and Chris’s day was no exception. Set against the stunning backdrop of one of Cheshire’s most sought-after venues, their wedding brought together family, friends, and a top-notch team of suppliers for a relaxed and memorable celebration. Colshaw Hall is an exceptional place to get married and I am lucky enough to be a regular at this wonderful venue.
Morning Preparations at Colshaw Hall
The day began with Lucie and Chris getting ready in separate parts of the estate. Chris and his groomsmen took over The Den, a comfortable and practical space designed for the groom’s party. With his young son by his side, Chris got ready amidst plenty of laughs and a few nerves.
Lucie and her bridesmaids were in the main house, which offers a grand yet welcoming atmosphere. Hair and makeup were expertly handled by Vicky Millington and Leanne Jackson, ensuring that everyone looked their best without any stress.
The Ceremony at Colshaw Hall
Colshaw Hall’s ceremony room is a neutral, elegant space that lets the occasion speak for itself, with huge windows allowing light to flow in. As always, Your Ceremony or Cheshire East are the registrars conducted the ceremony with warmth and efficiency. These guys are always great to work with.
Lucie walked down the aisle accompanied by her bridesmaids, with Chris and their son watching proudly. The ceremony was simple and heartfelt, a reflection of the couple’s easygoing approach to the day.
After the ceremony, it was time for confetti before guests made their way to the Walled Gardens for drinks and canapés prepared by Barretts. The weather was ideal for mingling outdoors, and the gardens provided a picturesque setting. As always, Barretts’ catering was spot on..
Couples Portraits at Colshaw Hall
Colshaw Hall offers a range of fantastic backdrops for photography, and Lucie and Chris made the most of them. We took some time at the end of drinks reception to capture portraits with the stunning hall as a backdrop. Colshaw Hall provides a mix of natural beauty and architectural charm that’s hard to beat.
The Peel Suite at Colshaw Hall
Guests then moved inside for the wedding breakfast, where Barretts continued to impress with their catering. The speeches that followed struck the right balance of humour and sentiment, giving everyone a chance to reflect on the day so far. Once the formalities were over it was time to head back outside for the throwing of the bridal bouquet and some more drinks before the evening kicked off.
Evening Celebrations
As the day turned to evening, the party shifted gear. Colshaw Hall’s flexible spaces allowed guests to dance, chat, and have a great party. Cheshire Wedding DJ’s were in charge and it was clear that everyone had a top day at one of Cheshire’s best wedding venues and I absolutely love being a Colshaw Hall Wedding Photographer.
