Shrigley Hall Wedding Photography
For my last wedding of 2016 I was at Shrigley Hall to photograph Amanda and James tying the knot in front of their family and friends. Shrigley Hall Hotel & Country Club is a stunning elegant Victorian country house, situated on the edge of the Peak District, a perfect venue to photograph a New Years Eve Wedding and say goodbye to 2016.
Wedding Preparations
The day started off photographing James and his groomsmen at Shrigley Hall, capturing him getting ready into his Whitfield & Ward suits. James was left speechless after opening his gifts from his bride to be. It is always nice to capture the real emotion of the wedding as it happens in a natural and unposed way and today was promising to be no different.
After leaving James to have breakfast, I headed over to meet the bride to be Amanda and her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents home. A nice relaxed morning was had by all, Amanda looked stunning in her Suzanne Neville dress & Christian Louboutin shoes, it was obvious this wedding was going to be fantastic and I was delighted to be their wedding photographer. Wedding preparations wouldn’t be complete with out hair and make up. Amanda, the mother of the bride and the lovely bridesmaids looked stunning, it wasn’t a difficult job for Hair by Amy Deaville and the The Beauty Spot to have them all ready for the days celebrations.
Traditional Church Wedding
The bridal party soon made their way with Cheshire Luxury Cars, which provided a lovely mode of transport to the church. After saying their vows, the lovely couple headed outside to be congratulated by friends and family before having the traditional throwing of the confetti – it is always a great occasion to capture, especially when there is so much confetti and everyone is involved.
Shrigley Hall – New Years Eve Wedding Photography
The guests arrived at Shrigley Hall for reception drinks and to be entertained by the very talented singer Lucie Evans. After Alison and James enjoyed their reception drinks we headed outside to capture some natural and relaxed couples photos. Shrigley Hall provides the perfect backdrop with over 200 acres of land and the lovely couple were brilliant fun – even if it was a little cold!
The day went so quickly and we were soon onto the evening reception and the first dance, shortly followed by the father of the bride dance. Which was looked on by an emotional mother of the bride, family and friends. The evening entertainment was from the band After Party, which certainly helped get everyone up and dancing. I love photographing the evening at weddings, they make for some great photos of everyone being so happy and celebrating the day.

Natural, Relaxed and Unobtrusive Wedding Photography
My style of photography is mainly documentary style, capturing the day as it happens in a natural, relaxed and unobtrusive way. What that means is almost completely unposed wedding photography throughout your wedding day. I want you to spend time with your friends and family and ignore me. I am a really laid back and a relaxed wedding photographer that will capture your wonderful day as it happens, with minimal fuss and no waiting around. If you are getting married in Shrigley Hall then please get in contact to discuss me being your wedding photographer.
