Wedding Photography

Where do I start about this Rainhill Hall Wedding Photography blog! I have known Amy & Adam for several years now since photographing their friends wedding and I knew this was going to be an incredible wedding. Impacted by Covid it took a while but we finally got there and it was well worth the wait.

Rainhill Hall is a stunning grade II listed country house which dates back to 1824. In 2018 it was expertly restored to its old fantastic charm and this brand new wedding venue is incredible. With a restaurant, spa, gym and incredible treehouses as accommodation this place in the heart of Merseyside is one of the best wedding venues around.

Rainhill Hall Wedding Photography

This was the first time I was lucky enough to be a Rainhill Hall wedding photographer – but it was brilliant. There is so much opportunity for photos and the secret garden is a great little space for some couples portraits. In the ceremony room there is an incredible flowered backdrop which is very impressive.

Amy & Adam’s wedding at Rainhill Hall

I started the day over with Adam and his groomsmen that were staying in a hotel just across the road – perfect place to stay and enjoy a beer the night before. Once Adam was ready everyone headed over to Rainhill Hall for a few drinks before the wedding – at this point I haded to see Amy and her bridesmaids who were having a great morning. Once the brides dad came to see her along with her lovely mum it was time to head over to the ceremony room and tie the knot. There was a beautiful gospel choir for the service which was lovely.

A fantastic wedding at Rainhill Hall

I am thrilled to share this Rainhill Hall Wedding, from start to finish it was an incredible day. I felt like a guest of family member from the beginning. once Amy and Adam tied the knot it was time for drinks on the balcony and the weather was perfect – everyone had a great time there was a sax player to get the party started along with some incredible canapés.

We spent a little bit of time doing some group photos and then couples portraits. It was soon onto the wedding breakfast and speeches, the speeches were brilliant and the father of the bride was particularly hilarious.

After the meal and speeches it was back onto the balcony where guests were able to play beer pong, the bride smashed the Boris piñata which was one of my favourite moments of 2021. Soon back into the main room for the first dance and party which was absolutely incredible.

It was an absolute pleasure photographing this wedding and I am so pleased to share my first Rainhill Hall Wedding Photography blog.

What the bride & groom said about Andy Griffiths Photography at Rainhill Hall

We we’re recommended Andy by a friend way back in 2019! Little did we know then the journey we would go on with navigating a global pandemic and three attempts at a wedding. Through the upset and stress of cancelling and rearranging, Andy was always there, responding to Instagram or texts, no matter the day or time.

Andy was there with sound advice in the run up to the wedding, answering questions we had, or advising us on things we hadn’t even thought about. All the while remaining professional, but kind hearted.
It couldn’t have been easy dealing with all the other cancelled weddings as well as ours, but when we spoke to Andy it was always like we were the only client he had.

On the day of the wedding, I never worried about our pictures, getting the right shot, having a camera in my face, awkward smiling, or being taken away from our family and friends. Andy was almost invisible – apart from when he nearly got booted in the face by my Boris Piñata (sorry about that).

Andy chatted with friends and family but was never distracted throughout the day. He was there, but not there. Occasionally I’d clap eyes on him, he always had a smile on his face and made everyone feel at ease.
During the day, Andy advised us on things we hadn’t thought about, like the best place for the photo booth to go or where we need to stand to make sure we spoke to all our guests on arrival. All the little bits of advice are strangely things I really remember about the day, because they actually made a huge difference.

When we got our pictures we were honestly blown away. Perfect moments were captured. I could remember what people had said to me or the way I was feeling just by looking at one image. Memories came back to us on what people said in our speeches, things that made us laugh, perfect moments of happiness.

We didn’t have a videographer at our wedding, but we almost didn’t need one, because Andy captured the emotion of the day perfectly.

I was advised when we first were engaged that your photos are the only thing that really remains after your wedding. Once all the flowers have gone, the band has stopped, the dress has been stored away. It’s your pictures that will last you a lifetime. We couldn’t be happier with our pictures. They captured our perfect day, perfectly. We can’t thank you enough Andy for all your help in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself.

You absolutely delivered on your promise, real emotion, fun and relaxed, that’s exactly what our wedding was and you captured that perfectly!
