Grange Barn

Grange Barn, situated in the picturesque village of Marbury on the Cheshire / Shropshire border is a fantastic family run wedding venue. Opened in the summer of 2019, Grange Barn is a beautifully converted barn on a working arable farm. The Barn has beautiful views over the Cheshire countryside and offers the opportunity for a relaxed and rustic wedding. Sally and her team will really look after you for your wedding and this venue truly is brilliant. If you are lucky enough – Grange Barn also provides some

Carys & Andy got married at the incredible Grange Barn surrounded by their friends and family. The day started in the beautifully renovated bridal suite which is opposite the barn. Carys and her bridal party had a lovely morning getting ready and I knew from the moment I walked in today was going to be a great day. After an emotional reveal with her bridesmaids then brother and dad it was time to get married.

Your Ceremony conducted the wedding service which was lovely. We were really lucky with the weather for this Grange Barn Wedding and after the ceremony we headed out for confetti and drinks reception. Towards the end of drinks reception we did some group photos followed by couples portraits along the drive of this stunning venue.

Once the couples portraits were done whilst guests were taking their seat it was time for speeches and food. Big 5 Catering were in charge of the food today – they are a fantastic caterer and always provide fantastic food and service.

A wedding highlight happened today for Carys & Andy’s wedding at Grange Barn. The lovely couple spent some time living in New Zealand so a guest came over for the wedding. After the speeches he stood up and gave a traditional blessing followed by the Haka. It was honestly fantastic and I am so pleased I was there to witness and capture it.

Grange Barn is not only an incredible family run venue, but it also has some incredible sunsets over the Cheshire countryside. Today was no different and we headed out for some couples portraits. Capturing the last bit of light of the day before heading into the evening party for this wonderful Grange Barn Wedding.

The cake cut was followed by the traditional first dance and then the dance floor was packed. It was a great atmosphere all day and I knew it was going to be a fantastic party!

Carys & Andy had planned a fantastic wedding at Grange Barn and it all came together perfectly. It was an absolute joy to be a part of.

Where do we even begin?! From the moment we booked Andy, we knew we were in the safest of hands, but honestly, he went so far beyond what we could ever have hoped for. He wasn’t just our photographer; he became a key part of our wedding journey, guiding us through the whole process like a friend who just happened to be a genius with a camera.

From day one, he made it crystal clear: any wedding question, big or small, he was here for it. The reassurance that came with knowing we had someone so warm, knowledgeable, and on our side was priceless. We didn’t just get epic wedding photos (which, by the way, are actual works of art—we still can’t stop looking at them!), we got the support of someone who truly cared about making our day magical.

On the morning of the wedding, as I was getting ready, Andy was an absolute dream. He helped me feel organised and in control, keeping us on top of the timeline, but knew exactly when to fade into the background whenever I had things under control. That delicate balance made all the difference in keeping me relaxed and able to genuinely enjoy the process.

When it came to our couples’ portraits and group photos, Andy struck the perfect balance of precision, humour and speed. We now have photos we’ll treasure forever, but the process never felt like it took over our day. In fact, we were present for all of our canapés, which meant we could fully enjoy the celebration and actually eat and see our guests! But when the most stunning golden hour sunset appeared out of nowhere, Andy didn’t hesitate—he was ready to jump into the fields behind our venue for an impromptu bonus couples portrait session, and the results are just magical.

A moment that stands out for us was when Andy noticed our friend’s 10-year-old son E, taking an interest in photography. Armed with his disposable camera and Instax, E had become our unofficial second shooter. Andy made the day even more special by letting him join in on the couples’ portraits and even allowing him to direct a few shots! This meant the world to us, but even more so to E, who had the time of his life feeling like a professional photographer for the day.

Andy’s documentary style throughout the day was so unobtrusive that we hardly even noticed him there… but somehow, he captured every key moment. It’s like he was everywhere, yet it never felt intrusive, and when he did appear, it was an absolute joy to have him around.

Now, I can’t even begin to describe how stunning our photos are. Andy captured the raw, joyful, and genuine energy of the day in a way that makes us feel like we’re right back there every time we look at them. Waking up the morning after the wedding, we were absolutely flabbergasted to see that he had already uploaded teaser photos for us to enjoy—less than 10 hours after leaving our wedding! It was the most amazing way to start our first day as a married couple.

And the best part? We had our full album back in just a few weeks. Every single photo is perfect, and we’re still pinching ourselves at how lucky we were to have Andy capture our day.

If you’re considering booking Andy—stop hesitating and just do it. He is hands down the best decision we made for our wedding.
