This is my first ever time to the private members only Formby Golf Course and I was really impressed with this exclusive venue, close to the National Trust’s Formby Woods this venue was founded in 1884 this fantastic golf course has fantastic sunsets and stunning grounds with excellent service. They don’t do many weddings so I am really pleased to have been a part of Claire & Colin’s wedding.
A beautiful wedding in Liverpool
Claire and Colin tied the knot in Liverpool’s St Georges Hall. This was my second time here in a week and it is such a beautiful and iconic building in the heart of Liverpool. Once wed – everyone boarded a double decker bus and headed to Formby Golf Course. Rumour has it that several bottles of prosecco was consumed on the bus which made me excited for the day ahead! Once arriving at the wedding reception it was time for drinks and canapés in the sun. This was where I met an exclusive group of men and women known as the “Old Shitters” who I can only say is I aspire to be like when I am their age and would happily join for a night out – they know how to party!
Couples portraits at Formby
It was a beautiful day for the lovely bride and groom’s wedding, with drinks reception outside in the sun, before the wedding breakfast and again during golden hour we spent sometime away from all the guests to enjoy the autumn sunshine and take it all in. With it being a golf course obviously the scenery is fantastic but the sunset was incredible – with one of the most famous club houses in the UK it really is an excellent venue. What made my job even easier is the bride and groom, two of the nicest and warmest people you can meet – Claire had a smile on her face all day that could light up any room.
Speeches & Party
A key part to any wedding is the speeches and today was no different. Sarah the brides best friend along with the groom, father of the bride and best man all gave fantastic speeches that had everyone in great spirits. After the wedding breakfast it was soon time for cutting of the cake and first dance and I wasn’t disappointed with how things turned out as these people knew how to party! Congratulations Claire & Colin, thank you for having me along and being part of your wonderful day.
