I am delighted to share this Heaton House Farm wedding photography blog from Lauren & Kier’s wedding. If you are interested in getting married at at this brilliant wedding venue – you can get in contact with their excellent wedding coordinators and request a wedding brochure here. It has been a while since I last worked at Heaton House Farm, but to come back and photograph this incredible wedding was absolutely awesome.
Weddings at Heaton House Farm
As a photographer, I come across hundreds of people each week, I have a lot of enquiries and more often than not I get on really well with all my couples and have a great laugh. I can honestly say from the moment Lauren got in touch with me I felt like I knew exactly what she wanted from her wedding and that I had known her all my life, but in reality we spoke on instagram, shared stories, spoke about our mutual love of alcohol and Las Vegas and I also learnt how amazing but disgusting (brides words) her bridesmaids and friends were – she wasn’t wrong. I absolutely loved this wedding at Heaton House Farm and I am so pleased I was able to be a part of their day.
Heaton House Farm Wedding Photography
The day started off for me with Lauren and her bridesmaids at the wonderful Heaton House Farm. It was clear from the moment I arrived what this wedding was going to be like and it didn’t disappoint. I also had a second photographer (Paul Marabrook) who started with the groom – which is perfect to capture both parts of the day.
Soon enough it was time for the ceremony which was great, full of top moments – full of laughter, joy and happiness.
It was soon time to head outside and enjoy the drinks reception. The guests had come from all over the UK and were treated to a free bar all day! What this meant was that it was only going to go one way – an incredible party!
From the moment the wedding guests got outside of Heaton House Farm everyone was up for a great time. Kier and Lauren had told me in our pre wedding consultation that they didn’t want loads of staged photos or time away from their friends and family – so they had a few groups that they asked and literally 5 minutes of couples photos. The rest of the day they were able to enjoy their wedding and enjoy the company of their friends and family.
A fantastic party at Heaton House Farm
The party started from the word go, but the introductions to the wedding breakfast certainly got the atmosphere going for speeches. Speeches were brilliant – exactly what you want, funny, sentimental and a little emotional. I love photographing speeches like this, not to long, not to short – just right. After speeches and the wedding breakfast it was soon time for the evening party – the Word Is Love had provided some incredible light up letters which were perfectly placed on the dance floor and soon after the first dance it was time to party and the dance floor was packed the whole time I was there.
Lauren and Kier, you guys and your friends are absolutely mental but incredible at the same time. Thank you for having me as part of your wedding and I look forward to meeting up for some drinks in London.
What the couple said about Andy Griffiths Photography
What a photographer! Andy was the ultimate supplier. From the second we enquired with Andy, he was very responsive and straight away put us at ease. Talking to Andy, i felt as though i had known him for years. On the day he was amazing with all our guests and our wedding photos speak for themselves. He was super discreet and just snapped pictures of the whole day without us noticing. I could not recommend Andy enough.
Thanks to the suppliers for making the day fantastic:
