Grange Barn Wedding Photography

Wow! What a wedding and what a wedding venue. Grange Barn is situated in the picturesque village of Marbury on the Cheshire / Shropshire border. Opened in the summer of 2019, Grange Barn is a newly converted barn on a working arable farm. I was lucky enough to photograph the wedding of Colette & Jag on only the second ever wedding at this stunning venue. The Barn has beautiful views over the Cheshire countryside and offers the opportunity for a relaxed and rustic wedding. This is honestly one of my favourite ever wedding venues and Sally and her husband were great to work with and chat too.

The wedding at Grange Barn

After spending the morning at Cheshire Boutique Barns with both the bride & groom, once Colette’s dad arrived, I headed over to Grange Barn which is only a short drive away. Jag and over 100 of their friends and family were waiting in the barn, the original roof is still on the barn and really gives some beautiful natural light all around the barn.

The original plan was to get married outside but because of the wind it was decided to get inside which is such a beautiful space so it really didn’t matter.

After they tied the knot it was time for confetti, canapés and drinks. Everyone has a great time and after quickly nipping outside for some formal family photos and 5 minutes of relaxed couple photos it was time for speeches and food. Which today was supplied by Big 5 Catering in the form of a BBQ. I have worked at a couple of weddings with Big 5 now and they are fantastic.

Evening reception at Grange Barn

The wedding was Indian & Scottish inspired with the groom being Indian and the bride being Scottish. So the evening was fantastic with a mix of Scottish Ceilidh dancing and Indian dancing. It was quite honestly brilliant and just after first dance Colette got changed into traditional Indian dress and she looked fantastic. The dancing went on and everyone seemed to have a great time!
