Colshaw Hall Videography and Photography – Jess and James’ Incredible Wedding Day
If you are planning a Colshaw Hall wedding and are looking into Colshaw Hall videography as well as photography, Jess and James’ day is a perfect example of how well everything works together at this venue.
This wedding had all the good stuff. Relaxed morning prep, a brilliant ceremony, unreal food, a proper party in the Peel Suite, and one of the best surprises you can have on a wedding day. Singing waiters done properly.
Even better, this was a wedding where I provided both photography and videography, which honestly takes the final story of the day to another level.
Morning Preparations at Colshaw Hall
The day started with bridal prep at Colshaw Hall, which is always one of my favourite ways to begin a wedding morning. Everything is calm, spacious, and there is no rushing about between locations.
Jess was getting ready with her bridesmaids, with Chelsea on makeup and Salon of Marple taking care of hair. The atmosphere was exactly how you want it on a wedding morning. Relaxed, chatty, and full of excitement without any stress.
At the same time, I headed over to the groomsmen in The Den. James and the lads were in great spirits and it was brilliant to capture both sides of the morning.
This is something I always recommend when couples can make it work. Photographing and filming both preps gives the full story of the day, not just one side of it. You get those parallel moments that couples never see until afterwards, which works especially well when photography and videography are combined.
Why Covering Both Preps Matters
From a storytelling point of view, covering both preps makes a massive difference. It gives context, builds anticipation, and creates a much stronger narrative for both photos and film.
For Colshaw Hall videography, this is where things really come to life. The build up, the nerves, the laughs, and those quiet moments all help shape a wedding film that feels real rather than staged.
Jess and James’ wedding was a perfect example of that balance.
The Ceremony at Colshaw Hall
The ceremony itself was brilliant. Emotional without being over the top, relaxed, and full of genuine reactions.
An emotional ceremony which is always great to see and even better to capture on both camera and film. These are the moments couples often say they missed on the day, and this is where having videography alongside photography really pays off.
Colshaw Hall ceremonies always photograph and film beautifully, with loads of natural light and space to work unobtrusively.
Singing Waiters and a Proper Surprise in the Peel Suite
The surprise of the day was the silver service singing waiters, and they were absolutely spot on.
Once they kicked things off, the entire Peel Suite came alive. Everyone was up, dancing, singing, and fully involved. This is exactly the kind of moment that works incredibly well for Colshaw Hall videography.
Photos capture the reactions. Video captures the energy.
If you are even remotely considering singing waiters, Jess and James’ wedding is proof that they can completely change the atmosphere of the day in the best possible way.
Colshaw Hall Videography and Photography Package
This wedding is also a great example of why my combined photo and video package has become so popular.
Having one team capturing both photography and videography means everything is aligned. Same approach, same documentary style, and no one stepping on each other’s toes.
For Jess and James, this meant:
- Natural, non-boring wedding photography
- A cinematic but relaxed wedding film
- Full coverage from morning prep through to the party
- Seamless storytelling across both photos and video
Colshaw Hall videography works best when it is unobtrusive and focused on real moments. No awkward posing, no staged reactions, just genuine moments captured as they happen.
The final film from this wedding was incredible. The speeches, the singing waiters, the reactions during the ceremony, and the party atmosphere in the Peel Suite all came together perfectly.
If you are considering Colshaw Hall videography, this is exactly how it should feel.
The Party at Colshaw Hall
As always, the party at Colshaw Hall delivered.
The Peel Suite was buzzing, the dance floor was packed, and the energy stayed high right through the evening. Every time I work at Colshaw Hall, the party never disappoints, and Jess and James’ wedding was no exception.
This is where photography and videography really come into their own. The mix of movement, laughter, and chaos is what makes the final gallery and film so much fun to relive.
