Emma & David’s wedding at Beeston Manor

The day started at Emma’s parents home in Preston not that far from Beeston Manor.  With Megan on make up and Charlotte on hair it was a really nice and chilled morning with all the bridesmaids! As soon as Emma and seen her dad for the first time in her dress I headed over to Besston Manor. The ceremony was lovely and the bride and groom were also treated to two great readings from the mother of the bride and David’s godfather. The lovely couple had soon said their vows and were officially married. Beeston Manor has a beautiful wedding room and it really is a great space to tie the knot.

Reception drinks at Beeston Manor

After the ceremony we were onto the reception drinks, with the drink flowing you could tell today was going to be a great day. Beeston Manor is the perfect venue for reception drinks with a great bar area for guests to enjoy as well as a brilliant outside space with amazing views, although we could only get out there today for group photos because it was freezing. Kate, David and all their guests had a great time and it was soon time for couples.

Couples portraits at Beeston Manor

I always aim to spend 10 or so minutes before the wedding breakfast for couples portraits and although it was a little windy the amazing bride and groom didn’t care and we headed out for some photos. Beeston Manor has a wide range of opportunities for photos and it was great exploring again.

A great first dance at Beeston Manor

Emma & David had arranged for a special first dance, Emma who has previously won a British title for dancing had managed to rope in all of the bridal party to perform a first dance. Emma and David had been practising almost weekly for the last year. It really paid off as it was great to see. The dance floor soon kicked off and was bouncing – I love it when dance floors are full and today was no different.

History of Beeston Manor

Beeston Manor is one of the Ribble Valley’s most finest privately owned venues and provided an excellent wedding day experience.
The venue is a family run business and is set in 140 acres of land at Hoghton near Preston. Beeston Manor is so close to the M6, M61 and M65 motorway networks and also has the facility of a helicopter pad so however you’re thinking of getting to this wonderful wedding venue – you can.

Beeston Manor is a Grade II listed sandstone building which has been restored and converted by the Bickerstaffe Family with stone walls and exposed beams.

Originally used for storage of local farmer’s crops. It was built by John Bickerstaffe and his father Frank.

The 16th Century Barn has many of the original features exposed, including the beautiful oak beams and the locally quarried pink sand stone. Built in 2000, the Woodland and Oakland room are built in the same way as the original barn.

The building technique used for the roof structure is the same construction method as the listed barn has with wooden pegs used to secure the timbers in place.

I really like working in Beeston Manor, Amy and the team really go above and beyond to ensure everything goes to plan. In addition, the food is some of the best wedding food I have ever eaten.

There is stunning views all around Beeston Manor and it also has some great looking outbuildings that means there is ample opportunities for creating beautiful wedding images.
