Simon & Zoe’s wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn

What a fantastic wedding yesterday was for Simon and Zoe. I met with Zoe and her bridesmaids in the morning and it was such a great morning. With eight bridesmaids and plenty of prosecco as soon as I walked in I knew it was gonna be a great day. It was great to work with Vicky and Hayley again. I have worked with Hayley at a few weddings and it’s so great to work with top MUA’s like her.

Once make up was finished and everyone was looking stunning it was time for Zoe to get into her beautiful wedding dress designed by Enzoani and bought from Along Came Eve.  Zoe’s dad soon arrived to walk her down the aisle, I always love this moment. A short walk over to the barn where the groom was waiting and it was time to say I do!

An emotional Wedding Ceremony at Sandhole Oak Barn

The wedding ceremony was conducted by Your Ceremony (Cheshire East) and it was lovely. With eight bridesmaids it was a relatively big wedding and it was such a good day.

After a short service it was time to sign the register and then on to the drinks reception, leaving through loads of confetti – It was awesome. My approach to drinks receptions are the same – I always prefer to photograph the formal groups and portraits towards the end of the drinks reception which allows the couples to actually enjoy their wedding.

It is something I really believe in and know the value of form couples and their friends and family. It is exactly what we did today but we had to go outside during the wedding breakfast for the fantastic sunset that we were lucky enough to have at this incredible wedding venue.

Evening party at Sandhole Oak Barn

After the wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches – they were brilliant – exactly what you want in wedding speeches, humour, laughter and some lovely words.

Soon after it was time for the cutting of the cake and then the best part of the wedding – the evening party to start! The bride and groom started with a traditional first dance, then the father daughter dance before they were joined with their friends and family on the dance floor.

It was packed and I love weddings like this – it was fantastic from start to finish. I have photographed several times at Sandhole and I love photographing at this incredible wedding venue and can’t wait to return later this year.
